Post rapture letters
Jessica Miller poked fun at the Killing the Buddha blog today about RaptureLetters.com website. The website offers a service for those who are to be taken up to heaven in case of the rapture, so they could send a message to the people who are less fortunate.
Ms. Miller's post explains the details fine, but her suggesting that this is a new service has awoken some memories in me. I thought I read about this service a few years ago. I recalled that there was a site providing the same service set up by non-Christians to ensure that there will be somedoy to send the message after the rapture. A quick search proved that I was right: PostRapturePost.com has been in service for at least three years. Here is their guarantee:
How Do We Know that You Will Not Ascend To Heaven with Us?
The Bible says that only those that repent of their sins and accept Jesus as the True Son of God will be saved. We do neither. Some of our personal sins include: drunkenness, heresy, sacrilige/blasphemy, gluttony, laciviousness, and sloth. There is no way we are going to disappear into Heaven any time soon.
